Zimbits LLC builds websites, web apps, mobile apps, digital platforms, APIs and automation tools.
Sturdy software, put together bit by bit
We design and build websites, web and mobile apps, digital platforms, APIs and automation tools. When they go live, we stay on to maintain, support and improve them.
Working with organizations, entrepreneurs and private clients who want software made carefully and looked after properly.
Every system we make starts as small pieces placed with intent.
Move across it, or clickThree kinds of people tend to get in touch
Different starting points, same expectation: software that does its job and keeps doing it.
-
Organizations
Teams with an established way of working who need software that fits it: an internal tool, a customer portal, or a reliable link between systems that currently don't talk to each other.
-
Entrepreneurs
Founders with an idea that needs a first working version, and a development partner who can keep growing it once real people start using it.
-
Private clients
Individuals with a specific need, such as a personal website, a booking flow or a small app, who want it done properly without a long agency process.
Six kinds of software we build
Open any row for what it covers. Many projects combine several, and we plan those pieces together from the start.
WebsitesClear, fast sites that explain what you do and are easy to keep current.
We structure the site around what visitors actually come looking for, build layouts that hold up on small screens, and set things up so everyday edits don't need a developer.
- Company sites
- Personal sites
- Landing pages
- Editable content
Web applicationsBrowser-based software with sign-ins, data and real workflows.
Portals, booking and ordering systems, admin panels and internal tools. We pay close attention to who can see what, how data stays accurate, and the screens people will use dozens of times a day.
- Client portals
- Admin dashboards
- Internal tools
Mobile applicationsApps for phones and tablets, shaped around quick, interrupted use.
Simple navigation, readable screens and a back end that keeps the app in step with any website or web app it belongs to, so your users see the same information everywhere.
- Customer apps
- Companion apps
- Field and staff apps
Digital platformsLarger systems where several kinds of users meet and work.
Membership services, multi-role systems and marketplaces. These need careful thinking about roles, permissions and how information moves, so the platform can grow without being rebuilt.
- Memberships
- Multi-role access
- Marketplaces
APIsDependable connections between your software and everything around it.
We design and build APIs that your own apps and outside systems can rely on: predictable behavior, sensible access control, and documentation another developer can actually follow.
- Custom APIs
- Third-party connections
- API documentation
Automation toolsQuiet software that takes repetitive work off someone's desk.
Scheduled jobs, data syncing between systems, report generation and notification flows. Small, focused tools that do a recurring task the same way every time.
- Data syncing
- Scheduled tasks
- Reports and alerts
From a first message to working software
Five stages, each with something you can look at and respond to before the next one begins.
-
Listen
A conversation about what you need, who will use it and what a good result looks like to you. At this point we ask more than we suggest.
-
Map
We turn that conversation into a written scope: features, screens, data, connections to other systems, and a sensible order to build them in.
-
Shape
Screen layouts and technical structure are planned side by side, so what looks right on screen is also sound underneath.
-
Build and check
Development happens in reviewable pieces. You see working progress, and each piece is tested before the next one is added.
-
Release and tend
We launch, watch how it behaves with real users, and continue straight into maintenance and improvement.
Launch day is the middle of the story
Browsers update, devices change and your needs move on. Software needs regular care to keep up, and we provide it.
-
Ongoing maintenance
Updates, fixes and regular housekeeping so your system stays secure and current instead of quietly aging.
-
Technical support
People who know your codebase, available when a question comes up or something isn't behaving as it should.
-
System improvements
New features, refinements and performance work as your organization, your users or your plans change.
What sits underneath the screens
The technical areas a typical Zimbits project touches, described by what they do for you.
| Interfaces | Responsive, accessible screens for web and mobile, and the interactions people use every day. |
|---|---|
| Server-side systems | Business rules, user accounts, permissions and the background work that keeps things running. |
| Data | Database design, safe changes to existing data, reporting and keeping records consistent. |
| Mobile | Apps for phones and tablets, along with the services that support them. |
| Cloud setup | Hosting configuration, separate testing and live environments, backups and domains. |
| Integrations | Connecting your software to outside services such as payments, email and messaging through APIs. |
| Testing and release | Checks before each release, careful rollouts, and attention to how things behave afterwards. |
Reasonable questions
If yours isn't here, put it in your brief or send it to office@zimbits.com.
Do you work with individuals, or only companies?
Both. We build for organizations, entrepreneurs and private clients. The size of the project matters less than how clearly we can understand what it needs to do.
Can you help with software that already exists?
Yes. Maintenance, technical support and system improvements are a core part of our work. Describe your current setup in the brief and we'll talk through what's involved.
Do I need a full specification before contacting you?
No. Turning a rough idea into a written scope is part of the Map stage. A few sentences about the problem you want to solve are enough to start.
Can one project include a website, an app and an API?
Often it should. These pieces usually share the same data and accounts, so planning them together avoids rework later.
What happens when I send the brief form?
The form doesn't send anything by itself. It prepares an email addressed to office@zimbits.com in your own email app, with your answers filled in. You review it and press send there.
Tell us what you're trying to build
Rough ideas are welcome. So are half-finished systems that need someone to take care of them.
